Looking for an easy way to upgrade your van's interior? Our Wall Panel Kit is the answer!
With our pre-manufactured panels, installation is a breeze. No need to spend hours measuring and cutting, just slide the panels in place, secure them using our aluminum rails, and you're good to go.
This kit contains everything you need in order to create the finished interior walls for your Sprinter van conversion. Made of high quality materials, cut to fit the van precisely and fastened using factory holes, this kit can be installed in less than one day.
Please allow an additional 10-12 business days for orders including laminate and black rails. Options for Sprinter 170 and Sprinter 170 Ext coming soon!
Includes:
Featherbuilt System Rails
These aluminum rails, in raw or powder coated black, secure your panels as well as act as mounting points for the rest of your build. After installing rivnuts, most of which utilize factory holes, all that's left to do is screw in each rail using a T-handle wrench (all of which we provide). You can use off-the-shelf hardware to hang duffle bags, hammocks, and the rest of the Featherbuilt interior components. This means that once you have our Wall Panel kit installed, you have secure, modular, adaptable mounting points for the rest of your build. They are strong enough to attach a bed platform, hang upper cabinets, and secure base cabinets and benches. No more furring strips, no more screwing into flimsy panels, and no more holes left in your van walls.
Driver Side and Passenger Side Wall Panels
Fabricated from ¼" materials, these panels keep your build lightweight while adding structure and a finished look. With your choice of laminated plywood, bamboo, oak veneer, or raw Baltic Birch, you'll be sure to find something to match your aesthetic. Because of their size, it's possible for one person to install the entire kit by themselves (although we think it's more fun with two people). For the Sprinter 144, you will receive 12 panels: 8 for the Driver's Side and 4 for the Passenger's Side.
*These panels are fabricated as full panels. If you have windows or are planning on installing windows, please send us an email with your order and we can discuss window pre-cut options for you.
Installation Tools and Hardware
One of the greatest parts about our Wall Panel Kit is the fact that it needs very little tools or hardware in order to install. We supply you with:
- Rivnuts
- Installation screws for the rails
- Wrench
- Instructions
What it does not include:
- Step-up bit
- Rivnut tool
Never used a rivnut tool before? No problem! We have plenty of step-by-step videos to bring you through your installation process from start to finish. If you ever have any questions, we're just an email, message, or phone call away.
WALL PANEL FAQs
When you order the wall panel kit, you will receive all the hardware necessary for attaching the rails and panels:
- Approximately 65 rivnuts and ¼-20 screws
- 9 rails
- 14 panels
- Instruction guide
- 5/32" allen wrench
We do not include any of the required tools for installing the rivnuts (see below). If you need help finding the best tools for the job, we are happy to send you our recommendations!
Our panel kits are made to order using readily available materials. Black powder coated rails require an additional 5-7 business days. White laminate panels require 10-12 additional business days.
Most panel kits ship within 10 business days. We will confirm the estimated delivery date 1 to 2 business days after your order.
Because of the size of the panels, we are able to ship these to you via UPS (no freight necessary). You will receive a smaller package containing the hardware followed by a box containing your panels and a tube containing your rails. The box with your panels is approximately 36” x 68” and up to 75lbs so we recommend having a moving buddy ready to help you unload.

The Sprinter High Roof wall panel kit is an 80% match for the Standard Roof Sprinter. By omitting the top row of panels, the remaining panels will fit all but the top 6” of the walls. If you are interested in a partial kit for a Standard Roof, let us know and we can make a custom order. We are actively working on getting our hands on a Standard Roof Sprinter to fabricate the perfect fit soon!
If you are interested in purchasing just some of the panels, reach out to us and we can create a custom quote for you.
You have the option of adding window hole cutouts in three places:
- Bunk window on Passenger Side rear
- Bunk window on Driver Side rear
- Standard crew window on Driver Side forward
We have the cutouts for the CR Laurence bunk windows (10” x 33”). If you have not already installed your windows, we can also include a window cutting template that matches our cutout for easy window installation. If you have already installed your windows, we cannot guarantee our ability to match your custom location and would advise ordering a full panel for you to modify.
If you have crew windows on the Driver’s Side forward, we will send three trim pieces to fit around your window in place of the full panel.
With your order, please contact us to confirm your window cutout needs!
At this time, we do not offer insulated panels. However, we have a variety of insulation from our partners at Second Skin for sale HERE. Other insulation options, including Havelock wool and 3M Thinsulate, will also fit perfectly behind our panels.
The aluminum rails are fabricated from Extra Low Profile Strut Channel (also called Unistrut). As such, you can use any hardware meant for Strut Channel, such as Strut Channel Nuts which can be found at Home Depot or HERE.
Depending on your level of handiness, we estimate that this kit (including all the rails and panels), should take a person about half a day to install. The most time-consuming portion will be installing the rivnuts. There are approximately 65 rivnuts for the wall panel kits and 25 for the ceiling panel kits.
Yes! Because the rails are lightweight (only 2 lbs each!) and the panels are ¼” material that has been sectioned into manageable pieces, this kit is very friendly for solo DIY-builders.
Absolutely! In combination with the ceiling rails, our rails and wall panels are compatible with the Adventure Wagon Mule Bag as well as the Van Essential 24” and 36” duffel bags.
While our kit has many of the same features as the Adventure Wagon and Flatline systems, we have not been able to test these beds with our rail and wall kits (yet!). If you are interested in trying to install one of these beds, we would be happy to help you source the correct additional hardware that fits our rail system.
The rails are made of Extra Low Profile Aluminum Strut Channel and they are a little less than half an inch tall, a little less than half an inch wide, and a variety of lengths depending on where they fit in the van.
While the final number can vary based on the material you choose, the rails are about 20lbs total and the wall panels are about 75lbs total.
Absolutely! We are happy to install these for you for an additional fee at our shop in Denver.
The raw Baltic Birch is the only panel option that ships completely raw, ready to be stained, oiled, painted, or otherwise sealed. Our other panels receive either a laminate, oil, or other protective coat. If you would prefer one of these panels to be shipped raw, please send us an email and let us know and we can modify the order.
If there is a specific wood grain or material you are interested in that we have not listed here, please get in touch with us for a custom quote.
We are always in the process of working on new products and models! If you have a van that we don't offer that you can bring us for templating, we will make you a panel kit for a greatly reduced cost (vehicle-dependent).
