Featherbuilt is an innovative van conversion component manufacturing studio. We serve professional van builders, DIY customers and custom conversion clients across the country. Our focus is on the design and manufacturing of highly functional, beautifully crafted van conversion components. We are located in northwest Denver, CO and are actively seeking qualified candidates for full time and part time, on-site positions. Our typical week is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.

OPEN POSITIONS:

Van Conversion Technician

About the Role:

A full time vehicle assembly technician responsible for construction, installation and testing of van conversion components, kits and equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install van conversion components (fans, heaters, battery systems, windows, etc)
  • Assemble components from design drawings and instruction manuals
  • Install wall, floor and ceiling panel components
  • Install cabinetry, appliances, 12V DC and 120V AC electrical components
  • Test, troubleshoot and diagnose systems and verify proper operation
  • Maintain a safe and clean, organized work space
  • Participate in shop improvement, process documentation and safety training

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Technical, mechanical, or construction experience
  • Strong working knowledge of workplace safety
  • Experience using hand and powered tools such as drills, sanders, saws, and pneumatic tools.
  • Must have reliable transportation

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening and comprehension skills

Compensation:

$20/hr-$30/hr depending on experience

Production Technician

About the Role:

A full time production technician responsible for the manufacturing of van conversion components and kits.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain automated fabrication tools (CNC Router, Laser Cutter, etc) to create wood and metal components for van conversions
  • Operate and maintain cabinet-making tools (table saw, miter saw, track saw, drill press, etc)
  • Process manufacturing orders for shipments as well as for installation at the Featherbuilt facility.
  • Assist with assembly and installation of fabricated components
  • Maintain sheet good inventory
  • Maintain a safe and clean, organized work space
  • Participate in shop improvement, process documentation and safety training
  • Participate in and lead quality control and inspection of fabricated components

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Technical, mechanical, or construction experience
  • Strong working knowledge of workplace safety
  • Experience using hand and powered tools such as drills, sanders, saws, and pneumatic tools.
  • Experience using digital fabrication tools such as CNC routers, plasma and laser cutters
  • Experience using table saws, miter saws, tracks saws and drill presses
  • Must have reliable transportation

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening and comprehension skills
  • Ability to foresee and perform regular and preventative maintenance on shop equipment
  • Comfortable using digital production technology, order tracking and SOPs

Compensation:

$20/hr-$30/hr depending on experience

Operations Specialist

A part-time administrative and operations support specialist that is responsible for the smooth operation of the shop and office environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Ordering supplies and materials
    • Scheduling deliveries and visits
    • Greeting clients and handling their queries
    • Answering phone and email inquiries
    • Assist with sales and and customer support via phone and email
    • Run errands and pickup orders at vendors
    • Identify and implement process improvements
    • Clean, organize, and inventory shop tools and supplies

    Qualifications:

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Strong working knowledge of workplace safety
    • Experience using hand and powered tools such as drills, sanders, saws, and pneumatic tools.
    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have reliable transportation

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a team
    • Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
    • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening and comprehension skills
    • Self-directed – take initiative on each project
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy work space
    • Take pride in work completed

    Compensation:
