Espar AS3 air heaters, sold as complete kits rather than bare units. The D2L runs on diesel and the B2L on gasoline, in vehicle-specific kits for the Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster, plus universal kits if you are routing your own fuel pickup and exhaust.

An air heater draws fuel from the vehicle's own tank and heats the cabin directly, so there is no propane to carry and no combustion inside the living space. That also means one less thing to refill on a long trip.
